Not surprising, recreation in West Palm Beach centers around its two main attractions: the crystal blue saltwater and the bright green golf courses. Apart from water and golf, West Palm Beach has several entertainment venues including the Meyer Amphitheater, a 10,000 square foot facility with waterfront views; the Raymond Kravis Center for Performing Arts, a cultural complex that presents numerous broadway shows, local plays, ballets, musicians, and operas each year; and the Perfect Vodka Amphitheater, an open-air venue located at the South Florida Fairgrounds that is used for well-known bands and musicians. Other family-friendly attractions in West Palm Beach include the Palm Beach Zoo, Lion Country Safari, and the South Florida Science Center and Aquarium.

Not surprisingly, West Palm Beach has a vibrant nightlife. Clematis Street has a host of hip dives including Roxy’s, O’Shea’s Irish Pub, Grease Burger Bar, and Rocco’s Tacos and Tequila Bar. Of course, City Place has numerous restaurants and bars as well, including the Blue Martini, City Cellar Wine Bar, City Tap House, Copper Blues Rock Pub, and Cabo Flats Cantina to name a few. City Place frequently features live music in the courtyard and plenty of outdoor seating for patrons to enjoy the warm evenings with a refreshing drink.

Schools in West Palm Beach include several highly ranked public institutions and unique charter schools such as the Palm Beach Maritime Academy, Renaissance Charter school, Florida Futures Academy, and Seagull Academy. Private school options in West Palm Beach include King’s Academy, Palm Beach Day Academy, Summit Christian School, Berean Christian School, Rosarian School, and Cardinal Newman High School.
